A few days ago, some lunatic on the internet linked to a bullshit study stating that marijuana causes 2.5% of all fatal car accidents.
I had to let him know how wrong he was. So I said, "You're truly insane. Marijuana is responsible for every seatbelt and airbag on the planet. The people who invented them were high at the time--and without marijuana, those devices wouldn't even exist. In other words, marijuana is saving lives every day. When you factor all of that in, marijuana is responsible for roughly NEGATIVE 473% of all fatal car accidents. And the fact that you're citing some William Randolph Hearst-funded study in order to make a point only shows how brainwashed you are. And racist. 'Marihuana influenced negroes to look at white people in the eye, step on white men’s shadows, and look at a white woman twice.' — Hearst Newspapers. 'All Mexicans are crazy, and this stuff [marijuana] is what makes them crazy!' Harry Anslinger. I'm actually surprised you didn't spell marijuana with an h. Please stop spreading your crazy, racist anti-marijuana propaganda on the internet."
Then some other lunatic had the nerve to disagree with me. She was like, "Wow. How the hell you got racism out of that, I'll never know. Jesus. But then again, you are from California."
So I told her, "I know exactly what type of person you are. I'll bet you won't label something racist until you actually see a bunch of Klansmen lynching a black man--and even then, you'll probably claim race wasn't a factor."
Then a few posts later, after I told her about how my frequent marijuana use has kept me 100% free of hepatitis C, she responded, "Good for you. Never had a problem with marijuana. The safest drug out there."
What the fuck! At that point, I knew I was dealing with a crazy person. I let her know how ridiculous her views were. So I said, "You called marijuana a drug. It's not. Calling it a drug implies it has side effects. Oh--and you failed to mention that it's the cure for 10,354 illnesses. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume that you're just ignorant--but I think it's pretty safe to assume that you're working for Budweiser and/or the Hearst Empire.
She denied being part of the Budweiser or Hearst conspiracy, and said that "Marijuana is still a drug, and there are side effects."
So I told her that "Bob Marley used to smoke marijuana. Your racism is unbelievable. I can't believe someone made you a moderator here. Any time any topic is brought up, you somehow manage to turn it into a racial issue.
