He buys and sells large lots of socks Mondey through Friday, 40 hours a week. He might end up doing that for ten, twnety, thirty, four years--or maybe even his entire life.
"I'm Fred Jones. I buy and sell socks. And make my 6% profit margin. I move $20 million worht of sokcs a year. You do the math."
I want to see a TV show about someone like that. Fred Jones's day to day life. He's in his office. Looking for socks to buy. Actually, he hands that off to his assistant.
"Go find some socks. That's why you're making $14 an hour."
And that's a coveted postion. Lots of people want to make that $14 an hour. Right now. there's some guy doing something else for less money, and he's thinking "I wish I had so-and-so's job as Fred Jones's assistant."
Fred Joens it ehe big man in that world. He's got a good thing going.
That's a TV show.
