Do Not Resist Evil

Jesus had a great deal to say about

“…Do not resist evil, but whoever smites you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.”[84]

“…Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you…”[85]

Now then, though these might seem like lofty and noble ideals for us to live up to, are they at all practical in day to day life?

Can we as human beings, living in the world we live in, actually “turn the other cheek” when stricken by others—or in other words,

And is it right to treat everyone well, no matter who they are and how they conduct themselves towards us, and even if they attempt to take advantage of us, abuse us, or harm us?

And is it rightoeus or fair to deal your friends and benefactors

much differently than your enemies and persecutors?

If we actually give people free reign to

continue, Can we as human beings, living in the world we live in, actually “turn the other cheek” when stricken by others—or in other words,

And is it right to treat everyone well, no matter who they are and how they conduct themselves towards us, and even if they attempt to take advantage of us, abuse us, or harm us?

dealing your friends and benefactors much differently than your enemies and persecutors?
