I have a pretty big feud with the comedian Dave Chappelle. I like his comedy. But he whines way too much about his career. "The industry done done me wrong." That's his message. It'a like a blues song. "The industry done done me wrong." He complains nonstop. Which is a little funny considering how many opportunities he's gotten. It is funny. Maybe it's just a joke. I hope it is. Otherwise, he has mental problems. The industry done done Dave Chappelle wrong? Really? The same guy who's had a big time career since his teens? Hopefully the industry will do the rest of the world right by forcing Dave to shut his mouth about all of that.
Dave--if you want to complain about something, complain about something that makes sense, and not how the industry done done you wrong. Comedy Central didn't let you do exaclty what you wanted to do? That's why you're complaining? Listen--why don't you take your millions of fans and dollars, and do exactly what you want. Finance your own show or movie. I guess that's not good enough for you. You need a big budget and distribution, too. So basically, you have to have your way when it comes to everything. Otherwise you'll whine.
I think I know why Dave went crazy. "I'm Rick James, bitch!" "What?" "Yeah!" That's why. He heard that shit non-stop, and thought, "You know what? Maybe if I go to Africa, people will just shut up. HOpefully I won't hear all that in Africa." And he realized that's why he was famous. That sent him to an African mental institute.
I'll give him some credit, though. He had some interity, so he didn;t continue doind what he was gdoing. He whined about Comedy Central. But he didn't follow up by putting out his own independent production. After all that shit he talked, he didn't reelase much. Get to work, Dave! Do some shit and release it! The spotlight was yours after your African trip. The spotlight's still on you.
I'm your boss, Dave. You made a big deal abut how you shouldn't have a boss. But then you didn't release anything. YOu proved that you need a boss. I'm your boss. Do something, asshole.
I gave you a chance to work on your own. I gave you a chance, Dave. But now I'm your boss. I'm willing to work with you. We can work on something together. As long as I'm the boss.
I deserve Dave Chappelle's fame and money. I'm definitely more original than he is. That's somethng that Dave has pretty much acknowledged. I mean, he's never mentioned me specifically--but he's stated how his show focuses on racial stereotypes and the like.
You're right, Dave. Your show was unoriginal. But you forgot to mention how Rodney Ohebsion is original.
But I'm a nice guy--so I'm going to go through one of Dave's routines and show him how to improve it. You're welcome, Dave.
I'm watching one of his videos on YouTube. Titled "Weed."
He starts of by saying how he stopped smoking weed... with black people. He still smokes weed--but not with black people.
So it's weed, and the whole black people white people thing. Now I know why this video has 10 million views. Dave, can we get you stop talking abut weed or black people and white people? No. That would be like trying to get Larry the Cable Guy to stop talking about farts. Just do 10 minutes of material, and make no mentions of race or marijuana. Just to show you have more self control than Larry. You know what? I'll set up a reality show. Dave versus Larry. They'll each go on in opposite rooms--like that Aerosmith Run DMC video. And we'll see who wins. Who can resist brigning up their bread and butter topics? Dave--if you lose, it's because you're an addict. You have to mention race or marijuana.
OK. I'm still watching the video. Now Dave's taking about how black and white people get when they're high.
You know what? I'm looking at this the wrong way. Instead of showing Dave how he should improve his routine, I should make mine more like his. I'm going to do the whole marijuana and race routine, too. I'm going to call my album Black People, White People, and Weed. That should be popular. If they post clips from it on YouTUbe, it might overload their servers.
OK. Now Dave's saying that when black peple are high, they share their problems and concerns with you; but when white people are high, they just talk about other times they've gotten high. Oh--and he's adding that there's a drawback to getting high with white people: if you pass out around them, they'll do something borderline gay to you.
It's funny--but if Dave Chappelle's a legend for this, I'm also a legend.
