Black People in Movie Theaters

Apparently, black people are very loud in movie theaters. I’ll bet when there are ten white people and a hundred black people in a theater, and a few of the black people are really loud, some of the other black people there are thinking to themselves, "Oh great. Those white guys are going to think we're loud in theaters. They're going to report everything to their white friends."

Do a lot of white people do that? Do they call up their friends and share their findings?

"Jimmy. I went to the theater, and it's all true. They're loud. They're loud. I got confirmation on this one. I saw it with my own two eyes, and heard it with my own two ears. I quantified the data, and it turns out that blacks are 25.9 times louder than whites in theaters. I guess a lot of black people think a movie ticket makes them Steven Spielberg or Roger Ebert. ‘Oh--I got a ticket. OK. That makes me the director. And a movie critic.’ That's it. I'm not donating to the NAACP anymore.”

I’ll bet the reverse happens, too. A lot of black people are pretty confined to a black community. And at some point, some of them might go to a theater in, say, the valley--a theater full of white people--and then report everything to their friends.

“Malkil. Malik. You're not going to believe this. They just sit and watch it. Yeah. They just sit and watch the damn movie. No commentary, no debates, no questions--nothing. They don’t even tell the characters what to do. They leave their house, pay $10 for a ticket, and just watch the movie. I quantified the data, and it turns out that blacks offer 25.9 times more commentary in theaters. I tried to get a refund afterwards, and she said, 'We can’t refund your money just because everyone else was quiet.' White people are crazy. I got confirmation.”

One half of the world laughs at the other half.
