Bailouts

The government has bailed out quite a few companies over the last several years. I don’t like that. I’m into old school values. Like the ones on I Love Lucy. When Lucy spent a ton of money on a hat, Ricky didn't give her more money. "Oh--OK, Lucy. Here's another $100." No. He yelled at her. And he starved her. Remember that episode where he forced Lucy to eat her hat? I'll bet Joe McCarthy loved that one. We should force Congress to watch it every day.

The government only bails out large companies. Those companies already have an advantage, and we’re adding to it. It’s like we’re going out of our way to create an uncompetitive environment. Someone needs to tell those assholes in Washington that this is America. We should just have a redneck walk into Congress and announce that on a megaphone every ten minutes. 3:00 "This is America!" 3:10 "This is America!" 3:20 "This is America!" That's an important part of checks and balances. I'm surprised the founding fathers didn't put that in the Constitution. Maybe they were a bunch rednecks. They just assumed it wasn’t necessary. Thomas Jefferson did a lot of great things for the country, but he left out the This is America part of the Constitution. He was probably too busy watching Nascar.

So I don’t like some of the things the government is doing. But I'm not opposed to government intervention. I just don’t like the idea of the government rewarding a money-losing company. They should do the opposite. They should punish them. Don’t bail them out. Imprison them. If General Motors is losing money, some guys from the government should walk in and take 90% of their metal. As in, “We don’t want this metal going into your piece of crap cars. We'll give it back as soon as you make something better than a Honda.” And if they don’t, the government should use the metal to build hammers. As in "this hammer is made of metal we took from General Motors. This is America."

And the government should reward companies that put out quality products. Like Audacity. The software maker. Their software is free--and it’s amazing. They should get money. Money? They should get slaves. The creator of Audacity should get the CEO of General Motors. So we need to make two changes to the Constitution. Add the “This is America” redneck, and allow slavery. I mean, most types of slavery should remain illegal--but we need some of them. If you care about justice. Do you care about justice? I do. And that’s why I want GM’s CEO to be someone’s property.

I should start my own political party. But I don’t want to actually be President. Because I want to really run things.
